A little good to know.

What is an ICO file?

An ICO is an icon file used by Windows and websites. This tool bundles 16, 32, 48 and 256 pixel versions into one file, so software can choose a suitable size.

How do I get the best result?

Start with a square PNG or WebP at least 256 × 256 pixels. Simple artwork reads best at tiny sizes. Smaller images work too, but enlarging them cannot add detail. JPEG images have no transparency. Animated WebP uses the first frame.

Can I use it as my website favicon?

Yes. Rename the download to favicon.ico, put it in your website root and add <link rel="icon" href="/favicon.ico" sizes="any"> inside your page’s head. Browser caches can delay favicon updates.

Where does my image go?

Nowhere. Conversion happens in this tab, without a server upload. The tool does not save your images or use analytics. Closing or refreshing the tab clears your selection.
